Chapter 1;; Insanity
"Mommy!" Hisaye reached up to her mother, watching her with bright crimson orbs. She smiled at her mother and the 3 year old persistently held her arms up. "Mommy, up!" She watched her mother look down at her and smile. The woman reached down and picked her daughter up, holding her close. Hisaye reminded Good a lot of her father, who had died working on the Kira case. She was still assisting on it and had all through her pregnancy, too. Good refused to drop out, not after Light's lie. His lie to not kill L if she remained quiet. But now he kept her quiet with a promise to get rid of Hisaye if she spoke. Good wouldn't let him touch her daughter; she'd kill him if she had to. Nobody would harm Hisaye...nobody. "Mommy...where daddy?" Hisaye blinked at her, chewing lightly on the edge of her thumb. "I-I've told you m-any times, Hisaye-c-chan..." Good murmured. "H-e's d-dead...you n-ever met him, r-remember...?" "Oh..." Hisaye frowned, why did she get the same answer? She hoped one day for a different answer! Of course, this was her childish 3-year-old mind hoping this. She knew that she knew better. Death was something nobody could come back from..
. Though it was practically the middle of the day, the gloomy apartment stayed shadowed despite the evident amount of sunlight outside. His movements were slow and perfectly timed; Light couldn't have the two detecting his presence before he wanted them to. He enjoyed being stealthily and devious, especially to Good and Hisaye. They were directly connected to his foe, L, who he had killed several years previous. Long auburn locks fell into his honey brown eyes as he peered around a bookcase to gaze at the two. The shadows concealed him easily and he enjoyed watching the two without their knowledge. It made him feel powerful and even more 'god-like' then ever and the positive feeling pulsed obnoxiously through his veins. It made him shake with excitement and he was forced to clench his fists to halt his body's process. A sly smirk was tacked onto his features and he listened as the small girl inquired yet again about her absent father. It caused his smirk to grow and when their conversation ended, Light decided to make his move. He sauntered casually from his hiding place leaned against a nearby wall for several seconds without saying anything. His light eyes rested on the young Hisaye and he scoffed, "How are you Hisaye?" His voice hinted with a mocking tone for he could hardly conceal his excitement.
Good felt a shudder run through her body and her eyes widened. Her breath seemed to fade away as her body froze. A feeling smacked her, one she was familiar with. It was when he was around...Kira...she shivered. She knew Hisaye knew what this was. Good always froze up when Light was around. It was because she was terrified of him and the atmosphere she felt when he was near. Where was he? Her scarlet eyes paranoidly shifted about, but she couldn't see him. Where was he? "Mommy...?" Hisaye blinked at her and frowned. She began to look around, too. But she actually was turning her head while Good was merely shifting her eyes. She spotted Light before Good did and her crimson eyes narrowed. He was against the wall! But he spoke before she could say anything and it caused her mother to jump. "Kira..." she spat quietly at him as he asked how she was. Good always had told her he was the one who killed her father. It was his fault her father never knew she was going to exist... "Light..." Good's voice was without emotion except for a tinge of fear. "Y-You startled me..." She looked at Hisaye and shook her head, then. Scolding her quietly for calling him Kira out in the open. "D-do you need s-omething...?"
The reaction that was displayed before him was fabulous. They reacted so severely to his presence that he couldn't help but chuckle darkly as their voices wavered out into the still air. He nudged a stray piece of hair from his line of sight with a thin, pale finger before he continued in conversation. His eyes were sparkling darkly as they traced over both Good and Hisaye. The young girl had been taught to hate him since birth and she hadn't strayed from those ideals since. He turned his attention to the spawn of L and smiled cheekily. "Well that's no way to talk to someone, is it Hisaye?" He allowed another malicious chuckle to escape his thin lips before he shifted his weight from the wall to his own feet. He towered over Good and even at a distance he was threatening looking. His movements were slow and fluid as he approached the two. "Oh, I don't need anything in particular." He let his finger trace along the coffee table as he walked past it and smirked as he continued to diminish the amount of space between himself and Good. "I just wanted ... to chat." His eyes continued to flash darkly as his chocolate brown eyes plunged cruelly into her deep scarlet ones. "Good, you seem ... scared." He was struggling to keep from grinning deviously, oh how he enjoyed her fear.
"Not nice to muwdew papa," Hisaye shot back instantly, her crimson orbs full of hatred. Her anger had risen and it was strange such seriousness could come from a 3 year old. But when Light was acting like this toward her mother, it sparked a part of her personality that had yet to fully develop. But it was still very much there, though buried beneath traits that would disappear to make way for her fully developed self. Right now she was taking upon her mother's sweetness and was more into her mom's personality then anything. But the part still developing would throw her into her father's personality with a few traits and quirks of her own. "Murderer..." She whispered with a venom in her tone. "Hisaye..." Good stared at the girl with a shocked expression. She'd never seen her daughter like this before. Never. This sudden reaction was surprising and unexpected. She saw the girl about to spit more words at him, but Good quickly covered her mouth. "N-no! Hisaye..." she lowered her voice, "d-on't do s-something that'll g-et you k-killed..." She watched her daughter's eyes suddenly soften and she grew calm again. But her eyes still shot warnings at Light. Good then looked up at Light, watching him warily. She took a few steps back, putting distance between him. She gulped as a shudder ran through her body. "I-I'm f-ine..." she whispered, "w-hat d-o you w-want to c-hat about...?" Her eyes shifted to Hisaye, who was baring her teeth slightly. The girl was prepared to help her mother if Light got too close.
The young girl was beginning to spark his interest more than ever. She was a handful and deserved to be killed, but she was amusing. He chuckled again and shrugged, "It had to be done." Not only that, but she was incredibly feisty for such a young child, she seemed ready to fight at any moment despite the danger that loomed above her. True, Hisaye was interesting, but it was Good that captured Light's attention at the moment. The way she was reacting to his presence was spine-tingling and made him yearn for more. As he advanced closer to her, she began to shuffle backward toward the wall and was ultimately boxing herself into a corner. His pace was quickening slightly and not a moment later he heard the gentle thud of her back hitting the wall. This was getting interesting. His smirk was devilish and he continued forward until barely a foot of open space was between them. "Oh just, different things. Nothing too important. Anything on your mind?" He had completely forgotten about Hisaye and was focused intently on Good and what her next move might possibly be.
Hisaye's eyes began to narrow as he moved toward the two. It had to be done? No it did not! The anger in her began to rise again. He moved so smoothly, like he was god or something! There was no such thing and that means he wasn't one! She watched as her mother backed herself into a corner and she frowned. She felt her mother tighten her grip fearfully on Hisaye. It made Hisaye wince a little, she was squeezing so tight. But she knew her mother was terrified being boxed in like this. Light was so close to them now. He talked to Good as if he were about to hurt her. It was causing her mother to go crazy in her head. Her thoughts were probably a mess. Hisaye could feel her mother shaking with fear. "N-No..." Good replied meekly, her eyes never once leaving him. She was watching him, preparing to run if he tried anything. Though she was boxed in, she'd find a way out. "P-please back u-p...y-you're a-a bit c-lose..." Hisaye frowned at her mother and knew Light wasn't going to back up. If anything, he'd mess with her more and get closer. This made the young girl mad. She was just low enough that she could reach his hand. She felt her anger spike up and sudden lashed out with her hands. She gripped tightly onto one of his hands and pulled it to her mouth. Her teeth, which she guessed were pretty sharp, clamped down on his skin. She refused to let go.
The fear that was radiating from Good was like a foreign type of ecstasy that was causing him insane amounts of pleasure. His smirk was twisted upward maliciously and as she continued to tremble and shake, he decided to move ever closer. Soon their bodies were closer than ever before and he forced his thin frame up forcefully against hers. It was obvious how uncomfortable this was making her and despite her pleading, he refused to move. His hand came in contact with the warm skin on her leg and he began to trail it up her thigh before he spoke in low tones. "What? You don't like being this close to me?" His chuckle send chills up her spine he was sure and right as the thought of raping her entered his mind, something happened. He felt his dormant hand being handled by a pair of small fingers and a moment later a spike of pain jolted through his arm. His eyes widened and his pupils constricted as considerate waves of aching soared along his body. A moment later he had pushed himself from the wall and was attempting to pull his fingers from the young girl's mouth. "Get the fuck off of me!" He howled in pain as she continued to sink her teeth deeper into the delicate flesh of his hands. "God DAMMIT!" He had no idea how to react other than constant swearing and soon the anger welled up inside him enough to bring his fist down onto the small girl's body with considerable force. If hurting her wasn't enough to get her off of him, death certainly was.
Hisaye growled furiously as Light drew even closer to her mother. She could tell Good was really freaking out inwardly. It had drawn the line when he touched her mother's leg. That had been when she had bit him. Now she listened to him swear as she continued to sink her teeth deeper into his skin. She felt the iron taste of blood fill her mouth as she broke the skin on his hand. Her eyes grew even more narrow and she growled as if some bloodthirsty vampire. He wouldn't hurt her mother, not while she was here. Hisaye refused to let him get so close to her mom. She continued to listen to him curse till she felt a sharp pain on her back. Her eyes widened and her grip loosened to where he could pull away as she gasped. The wind was knocked out of her, it seemed, and her mother had lost her grip on her. She landed with a thud on the ground, everything going black. "H-Hisaye!" Good cried, kneeling down and touching the young girl's shoulder. She began to shake her softly. "Hisaye...Hisaye...w-wake u-p!" Her eyes lifted up to Light, "y-you just h-it a 3 y-ear old! H-How c-ould you do t-hat!?"
Soon the grip on his hand loosened and the small child fell to the ground beside him. Pain was still rippling up and down his arm and a thick stream of blood was dripping onto the dark carpet below him. Light winced and cradled his wounded arm as crimson liquid pooled in his hand from two deep puncture wounds. How a child that small did that much damage was truthfully beyond him. Anger surged through him and the sound of Good's frantic voice threw him over the edge. He was suddenly at her side and with his good hand he gripped onto her clothing and pressed her firmly against the wall. His thin frame was close to hers and both of his hands were planted on either side of her shoulders. Light was attempting to stay civil, but now he was outraged and was intent on making Good pay for it. He let one of his hands fall to wrap fiercely around her waist and pulled her up against him. His blood-soaked palm gripped her chin and forced her to look at his devilish eyes that sparkled fearfully. The scarlet substance traced her pale face and with hatred and discontent Light forced his thin lips up against hers in passionate anger. Despite the lifeless quality to her being, Light made do with what he had to work with. It didn't matter that he would rape her; he could always save himself at the last minute like always.
Good was staring down worriedly at her unconscious daughter. Was she hurt? Would she be ok? Good didn't care to pay attention to Light right now. That was, until he grabbed her clothing and forced her against the wall. Then her attention turned to him and she stared at him. Her eyes grew wide with terror as she saw his rage. Her whole body shuddered and she tried to scoot away from him. But she was as far as she could go, against the wall. His unwounded hand wrapped around her waist and jerked her soft body against his thin frame. It was like her past all over again...she was getting raped. "N-No..." she whispered, trying to get away. "S-stop it! Light...t-hink of w-what you're d-oing! Stop, p-please!" She was forced to stare into his eyes, the eyes of the devil. Her breathing quickened as her fear began to grow more and more noticeable. She was scared...very scared. Nobody was here to protect her. L wasn't here to protect her...She felt blood from his hand run down her chin as her bottom lip quivered. Tears started to form in her eyes as she sputtered out. "Light...p-please...d-on't.... please..." His lips pressed strongly against hers and tears began to stream down her cheeks unhappily. She wished someone was there to save her, but no one was there. No one was there.... and she couldn't escape him. He was stronger then her...much stronger.
Her pleading was drowned out by her rough breathing and the sounds that were reverberating from his own throat. Light pulled away from the rough kiss and latched onto the delicate skin that covered Good's neck. Sharp ivories clamped down onto the pale epidermis and he began to bite along her collarbone. His movements soon became harsher and the metallic taste of blood swirled with the saliva in his mouth. The smirk was evident on his features as he continued to suck on the supple, sensitive skin beneath his teeth. His hands began to make their way up her back and to the latch that kept her fully clothed, quick nimble fingers caused her dress to fall from her thin body and leave her more exposed than the previous moment. Blood was getting smeared along her body and successfully made him all the more eager to make her fear him. Light enjoyed having power over others and rape seemed to be the best way to instill fear within Good. If L was still alive this would bruise him more severely than anything else, the thought made a snicker escape past thin lips. Suddenly, he pulled away and just stood panting as he stared down into her fearful eyes. Definitely worth it. "Are you scared yet, Good?" He chuckled cruelly. "Because if not, I have a lot of ideas."
Good winced as he bit down on her skin, her eyes shut tightly and she gasped as his teeth bit further down. She wasn't enjoying this one bit, what had gotten into him? She knew Light would destroy anyone in his way.... but never would she have thought like this! Something must've snapped inside of him when Hisaye had bitten him. Something bad. The darkness that the Death Note instilled in a person must've spurted forward. Something had to have happened! She had to escape, had to get away from him! He'd gone crazy or something for sure! She felt his teeth make cuts into her skin and her eyes widened as her blood filled his mouth. He was being too rough! She began to whimper pleadingly for him to stop. But he continued with his insanity and undid the dress she was wearing today. She felt her heart beat quicken so much she thought it was going to burst. But a snicker suddenly passed through him and he pulled away. Tears were falling fast down her eyes as she sniffled. His cruel voice made her flinch closer to the wall. "P-please..." she whispered, "no m-ore...n-no more...."
It was true. Something had snapped within his brain. For some reason he was immediately violent and more malicious than usual. His hands were ravaging her as he continued to lap up the blood on her neck and nip lightly at her skin. He hated criminals. They were the targets of the Death Note and now it seemed he was becoming one of them. Yet some need to make Good pay for what she had done [whatever it was] fueled his actions. A light chuckle resounded behind him and caused him to halt him actions and swerve his head back to see an amused looking Ryuku. He blinked several times and looked down at his blood-streaked hands before he took a step away from Good and turned to face the Shinigami. "What do you want?" As he stood there, the information sunk into his brain and he stood there blinking at what he had done. "What am I doing?" His voice was barely a whisper and his hands started to shake. The scene was getting blurry before his eyes and he only was able to focus when Ryuku began to speak. What was happening to him?
